Walk to Freedom Christiana Map

Here’s a map of my Walk to Freedom journey to Christiana, PA where I will join the community there tomorrow to commemorate the 170th Anniversary of the Christiana Resistance.
On September 11, 1851, African-Americans and abolitionist whites in Christiana, engaged in violent resistance against a posse of slave catchers riding up from Maryland. As a result of the incident, forty-four people (41 Blacks and 3 white) were arrested and tried in Philadelphia Federal Court for treason. All were found not guilty. To this day it remains the largest treason trial ever held in the U.S.
