Prior to setting out on our 2024 Juneteenth Walk to Freedom from Galveston to Houston, Frank Thompson and I were interviewed by a Kansas City, Missouri reporter from KCMO about the meaning of the walk and some of the history of Juneteenth. The interview was conducted during short breaks of heavy rain from Tropical Storm Alberto that marked the beginning of our 65-mile walk.
Thompson will be joining me again in July for the tail end of the walk to Owen Sound, Ontario.
