Deptford Mall to the Peter Mott House, 26 Kings Court, Lawnside, NJ 08045. 5 miles. The Peter Mott House is the oldest house in Lawnside, NJ. Peter Mott, an African American preacher and his wife, Eliza. The Mott House served as a station along the Underground Railroad. Mott was himself a free Black person and a leader in the abolitionist movement.

James Cooper Elementary School, 1960 Greentree Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 to Jacob’s Chapel, 318 Elbo Lane, Mt. Laurel, NJ, about 5 miles. Jacob’s Chapel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it was used as a safe place for slaves on the Underground.
