As I arrived in the Town of Seneca Falls today, I noticed this billboard promoting the New York State Equal Rights Heritage Center. Something about seeing Harriet’s image on a billboard in Seneca Falls moved me to tears. I felt she was finally getting the attention in this region that she deserves as part of the bicentennial celebration in her honor. As I reflected on image staring at me I thought of Sojourner Truth’s famous quote “Ain’t I A Woman” rang loudly in my head as I stared up at the electronic billboard.
