Here’s the Walk to Freedom itinerary for the Harpers Ferry to Gettysburg, ‘We Still Here!’, journey. All walks will begin about 8:00 a.m., with starting location posted the day before the walk. Members of the public are welcome to join for whatever distance they feel comfortable walking. All walking is on flat open roads.
Wednesday May 17 – Arrive in Harpers Ferry, tour Storer College and Harpers Ferry National Historic Park
Thursday May 18 – Harpers Ferry to Jefferson, MD 13.5 mi.
Friday May 19 – Jefferson to Frederick, MD, 10 mi.
Saturday May 20 – Frederick to Catoctin Furnace Historical Society, Inc., 12610 Catoctin Furnace Rd, Thurmont, MD, 13 mi.
Sunday May 21 – Catoctin Furnace Historical Society to Hagerstown, 20 mi.
Monday May 22 – Hagerstown to Waynesboro, PA, 15 mi.
Tuesday May 23 – Waynesboro, PA to Granite Hill Camping Ground, Gettysburg, PA 12 mi.
Wednesday May 24 – Granite Hill Camping Ground to Gettysburg National Military Park, and vicinity, 6 mi.
